Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acute and chronic respiratory patients on the Pulmonary Unit. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide high-quality care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, working closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists. Shift runs full-time days from 7am to 7pm. New graduates eligible for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NICU - NRP
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team) - NRP
- Nursery - NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- PEARS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certification within 1 year of start date
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- Nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients
- Maintaining standards of practice
- Coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff
- Providing quality nursing care
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization
- Demonstrates professional growth and accountability
- Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs
- Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios
