Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acute and chronic respiratory patients on the expanding Pulmonary Unit. Coordinate patient care activities for assigned staff while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues in collaboration with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists. Full-time days from 7am to 7pm. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NICU
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- Nursery
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- PEARS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- Nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients
- Maintaining standards of practice
- Coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff
- Providing quality nursing care
- Professional growth and accountability
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization
- High-quality nursing care to acute care patients
- Work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists
- Provide top-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care for patients
- Maintaining standards of practice

- Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs
