Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while coordinating patient care activities for assigned staff. Maintain standards of practice within the organization's policies and procedures to ensure quality care delivery. Provide appropriate protective measures for high-risk situations including abuse or neglect, failure to thrive, and potential abduction. This role is available for new graduates and those with one year of hospital experience, with specific certification requirements varying by specialty unit. The position is part-time PRN at Piedmont Columbus Northside.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- NICU- NRP
