Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult patients on a 24-bed medical-surgical unit, including those with orthopedic, cardiac, and bariatric needs. Perform IV starts, assist with bedside procedures, provide wound care, and manage NGTs, chest tubes, and central lines. Coordinate patient care activities for post-op, colostomy, and complex medical conditions while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Float to assist with needs across the hospital as needed. This part-time night shift role (7 PM–7 AM) supports a team-based environment with 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratios.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- Nursery certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- NICU- NRP
