Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle on the Ortho/Trauma MedSurg unit. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide care to patients requiring nights shifts from 7A-7P, including weekday and weekend availability. Maintain current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification. Obtain ACLS certification within 180 days.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
- 3, 12-hour shifts
- 7A-7P
- weekday and weekend availability

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 180 Days
- Prior to independent chemotherapy administration
