Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating care activities for all assigned staff. Provide quality nursing care within the framework of organizational policies and procedures, adapting to patient ratios determined by volume and acuity. Ensure current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification are maintained, with ACLS certification required within 180 days for most specialties. Work full-time days from 7am to 7pm at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 180 Days
- Prior to independent chemotherapy administration
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
- within 12 months of start date
