Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff within the organization's policies and procedures. Maintain current Georgia State Licensure and BCLS certification; complete specialty-specific certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP within 180 days depending on unit assignment. Requires Bachelor's degree preferred and one year of hospital experience for PRN positions. Full-time night shift coverage for Medsurg, Ortho, and related specialties at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
