Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while coordinating activities of all assigned staff. Maintain standards of practice and function within organizational policies to ensure quality care. Provide patient care in the MedSurg, Ortho, and Days settings at Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, Georgia. Schedule flexibility is available for this day shift position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
