Job Summary
Staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Works within organizational policies while coordinating patient care activities across assigned staff to ensure quality outcomes. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active Georgia RN licensure; BCLS required with several units requiring ACLS/PALS certifications within specified timeframes. This role supports MedSurg and Oncology services and aligns with Piedmont Augusta Hospital’s patient-centered care and professional development goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing is required
- RN license in Georgia (state licensure or multi-state license) is required
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS certification within 180 days for certain units (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care)
- PALS certification in Pediatric units or as specified (within 180 days where required)
- Piedmont-specific certifications/requirements for various units (Oncology/Infusion, Emergency, Nursery, etc.) preferred or required within orientation period
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
