Job Summary
Staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Works within organizational policies and procedures, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care. The role emphasizes professional growth, accountability, and contributing to exceptional patient outcomes in a multi-specialty setting (MedSurg, Oncology). The position requires holding or obtaining Georgia RN licensure and BCLS, with unit-specific advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, chemotherapy/biotherapy) within defined timelines. Licensure and ongoing certifications are required for practice in multiple service lines including Oncology, Surgical Services, Women’s Services, Emergency Department, Dialysis, and others per addendum.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required)
- Georgia RN licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (Required)
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) Required
- ACLS Certification required within 180 days for various specializations (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Emergency)
- PALS/PEARS/NRP certifications where applicable (per unit) within specified orientation periods
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Oncology)
- NICU/NBN/Onboarding certifications as per unit requirements (Pediatrics/NAT, NICU) etc.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
