Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff and function within organizational policies to ensure quality care. Maintain current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification. Complete specialty-specific certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP within 6 to 180 days depending on the unit assignment. This role supports the nursing team at Piedmont Columbus Northside hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients OR BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
