Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia state licensure and BCLS certification, with additional specialty certifications such as ACLS or PALS required within 180 days depending on the unit. This role supports the MedSurg unit at Piedmont Columbus Northside, serving patients across diverse clinical needs under established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
