Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia state licensure and BCLS certification, with additional specialty certifications such as ACLS or PALS required within 180 days depending on the unit. This role supports the Northside business unit at Piedmont Columbus Hospital, offering PRN night shifts with no prior experience required for new graduates.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
  • No experience required
  • New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Certification
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
  • ACLS and PALS Certification
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
  • PEARS or PALS Certification
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
  • BLS
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
  • Nursery- NRP

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor‘s Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
  • Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
  • Experienced Emergency Department nurses
  • 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
  • Prior to independent chemotherapy administration
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
  • Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
