Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult patients on a 36-bed Medical-Surgical unit, including orthopedic, cardiac, and bariatric cases. Perform IV starts, assist with bedside procedures, manage NGTs and chest tubes, administer blood transfusions, and provide wound care for post-op, central line, and colostomy patients. Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities for assigned staff. Full-time night shift with 1:5–6 RN-to-patient ratios. Sign-on bonus available. Current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS required; ACLS certification needed within 180 days. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP

- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 180 Days
- Prior to independent chemotherapy administration
