Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as an RN in the MedSurg Neurology unit. Assess the patient’s condition at admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identify and report changes; perform procedures and document care administration; administer prescribed medications and monitor responses; respond to patient requests and anticipate needs; educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures; collaborate with providers and care team to ensure outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of 1-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Neuroscience, is preferred
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
