Job Summary
RN MedSurg Neurology opportunity delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a tertiary care hospital setting. You will assess patients during admission and each shift, administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, document care, respond to patient needs, and educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred with a 24-month window after hire if hired after 6/1/12; minimum 1 year of acute care experience in the last three years; Texas (or compact) RN license; current BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of 1-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Neuroscience is preferred
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider
