Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in MedSurg Neurology, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department standards. Assess patient conditions on admission and at each shift, perform procedures and document care, administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and take action as needed. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps to ensure understanding. Collaborate with the care team and advocate for patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years, required
- Experience in Neuroscience, is preferred
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
