Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within the organization's policies and procedures. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapy, and support staff to support the continuum of recovery. Shifts are part-time from 7am to 7pm. The facility is a primary Stroke center with NIHSS-assessment certified staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- ENPC Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NICU - NRP
