Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal, and head injuries. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies. Work 7am-7pm part-time shifts with a comprehensive orientation pairing staff with a preceptor for goal-setting and training. The unit supports a multidisciplinary team including physicians, PT/OT, respiratory therapy, and case management. Staff must hold current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred
