Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute Neurology floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice while working alongside physicians, therapy teams, and case management. Perform NIHSS assessments and participate in the Georgia stroke class curriculum. Work part-time shifts from 7am to 7pm, with patient ratios adjusted based on volume and acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- PEARS or PALS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- NICU- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
