Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities for assigned staff while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Work part-time days from 7am to 7pm in a fast-paced inpatient unit supported by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapy, and case management. Orientation pairs staff with a qualified preceptor for goal-setting and training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- PEARS or PALS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certification within 1 year of start date
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- BLS required only within 180 Days
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle
- utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients
- functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization
