Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia State Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certification, completing specialty-specific certifications such as PALS, NRP, or CDN within 180 days depending on unit assignment. Requires a Bachelor's degree preferred and one year of hospital experience for PRN positions; new graduates eligible with applicable orientation. Full-time night shift coverage at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • 1 year in a hospital setting
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
  • BLS

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team) - NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
