Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia State Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certifications, completing specialty-specific training within 180 days as needed. This role supports the Medsurg, Neuro, and Nights units at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, offering a pathway for new graduates or those with one year of hospital experience to advance their professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS

- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty

- PEARS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
