Job Summary
Staff nurse on the Neuro MedSurg inpatient unit on nights (7pm-7am) at Piedmont Athens Regional. Provides nursing care to adult patients on a fast-paced Neuro/MedSurg floor, collaborating with Stroke Coordinator, PT/OT, Respiratory Therapy, physicians, case management, social work, and pharmacy. Grounded in nursing processes, the role supports patient recovery across the lifecycle, with orientation pairing new staff with a qualified preceptor to ensure successful integration into the Neuro team. NIHSS assessment certified; unit specializes in Stroke, spinal injuries, and head injuries; DNV Stroke Certified Neuro Science floor; 30-bed unit; sign-on bonus available. Minimum Georgia RN licensure and BLS; new graduates eligible; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification required
