Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies. Work part-time days from 7am to 7pm with patient ratios adjusted by volume and acuity. The unit is supported by a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, respiratory therapy, and physicians, with comprehensive orientation pairing staff with a preceptor for goal-setting and training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU ACLS
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ENPC Certifications
- PEARS Certification
- Newborn Admission Team (NAT)
- Nursery- NRP
- NICU- NRP
- Mother/Baby- NRP
