Job Summary
RN Med Surg on Wellstar’s night shift with the W.E.S.T. Float Team across multi-campus operations. Responsibilities include owning the nursing process from assessment through evaluation to deliver personalized, evidence-based care; building meaningful connections with patients and families; driving top-notch outcomes; participating in performance improvement, research opportunities, and shared governance; mentoring colleagues; applying evidence-based practices; contributing to care planning and protocol development; and ensuring efficient use of time, people, and resources. Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license; BSN preferred; 2+ years Med Surg experience; proficiency with Epic/3M is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program — Required
- Licenses & Certifications: RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact) — Required
- Licenses & Certifications: BLS from AHA — Required
- Licenses & Certifications: ACLS — Required
- Experience: 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience — Required
- Experience: Experience with computer data entry — Required
- Experience: Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems — Preferred
- Certifications: National Certification in your specialty — Preferred
- Skills: A+ interpersonal and communication chops
- Skills: Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools
- Skills: Calm under pressure and strong critical thinking
