Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process on the 7D Med Tele unit, coordinating with other departments and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Responsibilities include evaluating care effectiveness, managing telemetry/cardiac care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, dysrhythmias, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes and other multi-system needs, and supporting procedures like cath lab work, EGD, and colonoscopy. Requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and ongoing professional accountability within Mercy's mission and standards; unit offers tuition assistance, loan forgiveness, relocation support, weekend and shift differentials, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within 30 days of hire
