Job Summary
RN Medical Team Administrator at Waushara County Jail combines hands-on nursing with clinical leadership to oversee daily medical operations, participate in direct patient care, conduct intake and ongoing assessments, manage chronic/acute conditions, administer medications, respond to emergencies, monitor detox, and coordinate with physicians, APPs, and mental health professionals to develop care plans addressing medical and psychiatric needs. The role serves as a clinical liaison to facility administration, ensures adherence to state regulations and policies, maintains documentation, supports audits/inspections, and champions best practices in infection control, medication management, and patient safety while mentoring nursing and support staff in a secure, on-site jail setting.
Required Qualifications
- RN license/registration in good standing
- clinical leadership experience in healthcare setting
- ability to oversee medical operations in a correctional facility
- experience with intake assessments, chronic/acute condition management, and detox/withdrawal protocols
- strong collaboration with physicians, APPs, mental health professionals, and correctional staff
