Job Summary
Establish standards of practice for staff nurses based on American Nurses Association guidelines and assess patients with varying health severity. Provide care ranging from medication management to technical nursing treatments, while advising patients and caregivers on wellness strategies including nutrition and exercise. Teach positive self-care activities and support problem-solving approaches to meet individual patient needs. Work in cooperation with ancillary staff under Clinical Manager supervision within established agency policies. Requires current Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and one year of medical/surgical experience. Day shift rotation from 8:00am to 4:30pm with weekend and holiday coverage available in Fairhaven, MA and surrounding RI communities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited school
- Minimum of one-year hospital medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience
- Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is appropriate to the population of patients served
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current RN Licensure in Rhode Island (subject to geographic area assignment)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs
- Homecare experience
