Job Summary
Provide direct patient care on the Medical Surgical Unit, including admissions, transfers, discharges, medications, and ongoing assessments. Implement provider orders, communicate patient condition changes to medical staff, and maintain accurate documentation and care plans. Educate patients and families regarding illness, treatment plans, and discharge instructions while promoting safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care. Float to other departments as needed after orientation. Requires current RN license in Washington, BLS certification, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days. Night shift, part-time, 12 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Washington
- Current BLS certification, maintained throughout employment
- ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull over 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, squat, reach, sit, stand, and walk
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Previous hospital experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
