Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients on the 19-bed Cardiac Med Surg unit. Systematically evaluate care quality, establish effective relationships with patients and families, and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process. Implement interventions, collect assessment data, and determine appropriate nursing diagnoses while collaborating with the inter-professional team. Educate patients and families on health promotion measures and foster a healthy work environment by serving as a mentor. Maintain constant alertness and perform point-of-care testing as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
