Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients in the Medical Stepdown unit. Maintain professional accountability for care quality and evaluate the effectiveness of other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and experience in a hospital setting. Night shift, full-time, 36 hours weekly with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
