Job Summary
Provide patient assessment and collect health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers. Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders in person, on the phone, and in writing. Individualize patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments to meet specific learning needs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness while maintaining professional knowledge of current standards, laws, and regulations. Work the 7:00pm to 7:30am night shift on the Medical Pulmonary Unit in Arlington Heights, IL, with a per diem requirement of at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks
- 24 of those hours must be on weekend time if needed
- 7:00pm - 7:30am (Night shift)
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
