Job Summary
Provide patient assessment and collect health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers. Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders in person, by phone, and in writing. Individualize patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments to meet specific learning needs. Participate in evaluating nursing practice quality through improvement initiatives while maintaining professional knowledge of current standards and regulations. Work nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am as a per diem nurse on the Medical Pulmonary Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. Requires at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including 24 weekend hours if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks
- 24 of those hours must be on weekend time if needed
- 7:00pm - 7:30am (Night shift)
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
