Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for neuro, medical, and surgical patients in a 27-bed Medical Progressive Care Unit with 3:1 or 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratios. Conduct bedside cardiac and pulse oximetry monitoring while utilizing patient-family input to develop teaching strategies and document education in health records. Provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and the nursing process framework. Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, NCLEX licensure, and current BLS certification, with ACLS required within six months. Day shift hours run from 3:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dearborn Hospital, a Level II trauma center recognized by U.S. News & World Report.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NCLEX licensure examination
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- Must comply with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
