Job Summary
Conduct weekend medical oncology coverage across multiple locations within the Corewell Health South network, delivering comprehensive inpatient chemotherapy care from Friday 3:00 p.m. through Monday 7:30 a.m. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating discharge and providing personalized education to support patient and family goals. Work 48 out of 52 weekends as part of a team-based approach that integrates patient input into holistic healing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work 48 out of 52 weekends
- Must comply with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
