Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing care for patients aged 18 and older on a 30-bed Medical Oncology Specialty Unit, administering chemotherapy and biotherapy across the hospital while performing head-to-toe assessments, IV starts, and dressing changes. Develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs, modify interventions for safety, and maintain accurate documentation through quarterly chart audits. Provide emotional support to patients and families, communicate with the healthcare team to resolve issues, and utilize Oncology Nursing Society resources to advance professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- College Diploma: Nursing
- RN >1yr
