Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, and manage inpatient care for patients 18 and older across the 30-bed Medical Oncology Specialty Unit. Perform procedures including IV starts, NG tube insertions, dressing changes, and Access Mediport maintenance while ensuring accurate documentation for quarterly audits. Provide emotional support to patients and families, maintain patient and employee safety, and collaborate with colleagues to refine care plans. This role requires an RN with 1+ year of experience, BLS certification, and proficiency in oncology skills, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 3-year commitment at Carle Health.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- College Diploma: Nursing
- RN >1yr
