Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning patients, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate team needs to support efficient workflow. Monitor patient conditions during surgery, document care, manage specimen collection, and participate in pre- and post-operative handoffs. Clean and restock the room between cases while collaborating with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies. This 13-week travel assignment in Madisonville, Kentucky requires one year of recent OR experience, a valid RN license, and CNOR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Travel OR RN
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
