Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, maintain a sterile field throughout procedures, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to maintain efficient workflow. Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, document significant changes, and handle specimen collection and transport according to facility protocols. Participate in patient handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases, assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with policies. This 13-week travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia requires one year of recent OR RN experience and a valid RN license.
Required Qualifications
- Travel OR RN
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
