Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery while maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure. Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, document significant changes, and manage specimen collection and transport. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with facility policies. Participate in patient handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases. Clean and restock the operating room between cases. Requires one year of recent OR experience, valid RN license, and CNOR certification. 20-week travel assignment in Crookston, Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
