Job Summary

Prepare the operating room, manage surgical equipment, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures while adhering to infection control protocols. Anticipate team needs by providing instruments and supplies, monitor patient conditions during surgery, and document all aspects of perioperative care accurately. Handle specimen collection, transport, and restocking between cases, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies and standards. This 13-week travel assignment in Austell, Georgia requires one year of recent OR RN experience, CNOR certification, and valid state licensure.

Required Qualifications

  • Travel OR RN
  • One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push
  • Must be able to pull
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must have the ability to grasp
  • Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
  • Must have the ability to push/pull
  • Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
  • Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
  • Must possess visual acuity
  • Must be able to effectively communicate
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic surgical environment
  • Must adhere to the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and professional ethics
  • Must adhere to infection control protocols and sterile technique
  • Must maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
  • Must ensure all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure
  • Must ensure their proper use, sterilization, and disposal according to facility protocols
  • Must ensure accurate diagnostic results
  • Must document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately and thoroughly
  • Must ensure continuity of care
  • Must adhere to infection control and turnover protocols
  • Must ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and standards
  • Must follow hospital safety rules and procedures
  • Must use PPE
  • Must implement infection prevention measures
  • Must be available for a 13-week travel assignment
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Austell, Georgia
