Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning patients, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate team needs to support efficient workflow. Monitor patient conditions during surgery, document care, manage specimen collection, and participate in pre- and post-operative handoffs. Clean and restock the room between cases while adhering to infection control protocols. This 13-week travel assignment in Allentown, Pennsylvania, requires one year of recent OR RN experience and CNOR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
