Job Summary
Travel PACU RN in New Orleans, LA for a 13-week assignment with Fusion Medical Staffing. Responsibilities include assessing patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring vital signs and recovery, administering prescribed post-anesthesia treatments, documenting assessments and interventions, coordinating handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units, and operating PACU equipment. Requires a valid RN license, at least one year of PACU experience, English communication skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Travel compensation is provided with comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage and relocation/licensure support. Fusion emphasizes patient safety, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaborative postoperative care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PACU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Proficient in PACU equipment operation (ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps)
- Demonstrated ability to assess patient recovery and document progress
- Ability to collaborate with surgical team and coordinate care during handoffs
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend as required
