Job Summary
Assess patient needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse groups, while effectively using the nursing process to deliver care. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Adapt behavior to specific patient populations and embrace concepts that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale. Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue
- Occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases
- Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
