Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Medical ICU, supervising assigned staff and coordinating care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessments to determine diagnoses, and develops intervention plans to attain patient outcomes. Implements care delivery strategies to promote a safe environment, collaborates with patients, families, and providers, and participates in discharge planning for continuity. Provides learning opportunities to team members and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
