Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Med/Surg Medical 7E unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information in accordance with Mercy Service Standards. Perform duties consistent with the hospital mission and values. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout shifts. Full-time night rotation from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
