Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on a medical floor while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Perform duties in a manner aligned with the organization's mission and values. Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week, including nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and an Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN in nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Additional state licensure
- Specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
