Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the medical floor while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Perform duties including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking throughout the 36-hour weekly night shift. Hold a current Missouri RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
