Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the medical floor while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in a manner consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week includes night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must hold a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an accredited nursing degree (BSN preferred). This role is part of Mercy Hospital South's mission to deliver compassionate healthcare through innovation and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties

- Specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
